  1. To install this package of ArmTeX:
  2.  
  3. What you need:
  4.     gzip    (b051 on micros.hensa.ac.uk)
  5.     tar     (a052 "     "     "    "   )
  6.     7 MS-DOS 720K floppy disks
  7.     a cup of coffee.
  8.  
  9. 1.  Download the files Install and disk1-7.
  10. 2.  Label your 7 disks 1-7
  11. 3.  Copy the file "Install" onto disk 1.
  12. 4.  Copy the file "disk1" onto disk 1, naming it "TEX"
  13. 5.    "    "   "       2            2, naming it "TEX"
  14. 6.  ditto for disks 3-7. These make up a multi-volume tar file.
  15. 7.  Make your cup of coffee.
  16. 8.  Place disk 1 in your Arc's drive.
  17. 9.  Change directory on your hard disk to where you want TeX installing.
  18. 10. Set Install's filetype to Obey.
  19. 11. Double click on Install.
  20. 12. Do what the install file says, sipping your coffee while you wait!
  21.     The installation process should take around 30 minutes.

  23. To use ArmTeX, you just double click on TeXPaths in the TeX directory,
  24. then you should be able to LaTeX files etc as you want.
